Focused on Employment & Growth
The City of Samobor recently hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of India, His Excellency Mr. Raj Kumar Srivastava, for an official visit that highlighted the growing cooperation between India and Croatia, especially in the field of employment and technology partnerships.
The Ambassador was warmly welcomed by Mayor Dr. Petra Škrobot, along with Deputy Mayor Petar Burić and Deputy Mayor of Sveta Nedelja, Gabrijel Deak. The meeting focused on the success stories of Indian nationals working in Croatia and the continued collaboration between local Croatian businesses and Indian recruitment partners.
Supporting Indian Workers in Croatia
Among the attendees were Mr. Zvonimir Delić, owner of the company Rajska Rajčica from Sveta Nedelja — a business that currently employs around 30% of its workforce from India — and Ms. Lejla Krezić, owner of Laura Montaža in Samobor. With the help of recruitment agencies, Ms. Krezić has assisted over 600 Indian citizens in securing legal employment in Croatia in the past three years. Many of these workers are now permanently employed in Samobor and surrounding areas.
This collaboration reflects a successful model of legal international employment, providing Croatian companies with much-needed labor while offering Indian workers fair opportunities and stable jobs in Europe.
SIS International Recruiters bridges the gap between Indian talent and European industries — supporting employers with skilled manpower and workers with secure, verified job placements.
Exploring Future Collaboration in Technology and Innovation
The visit also included a tour of the Small Technology Park in Samobor, where Ambassador Srivastava met with representatives from several innovative Croatian startups — Black Sun, Technological Industries, Pine Studio, and Elproms. These companies have already begun building relationships with Indian firms, particularly in IT and digital innovation.
The Ambassador expressed his commitment to deepening these partnerships, especially in the field of information technology, and proposed more concrete initiatives for international cooperation between Croatian and Indian companies.
A Cultural and Community Connection
The visit concluded at the Bunker Youth Center, where the Ambassador met with children from the local association “Children for a Better World” and participated in their creative workshop. This moment highlighted not just economic cooperation, but also a spirit of cultural connection and goodwill between the two nations.
A Step Toward a Stronger Future
The visit reinforces India’s growing role in supporting Croatia’s labor and innovation sectors. Through collaboration between employers, recruitment agencies, and government institutions, the relationship between the two countries continues to create mutual growth, employment, and prosperity.
At SIS International Recruiters, we are proud to contribute to this ongoing partnership — connecting skilled and hardworking individuals from India with reputable employers across Europe, ensuring that every opportunity is legal, fair, and future-focused.
